THE SCOUT HELP CENTER

A little guidance.
A lot more clarity.

Everything you need to connect your workspace, manage access, and keep your research moving.

How do I get started?+
  1. Create an account or sign in to an existing account.
  2. Ask your administrator for an activation key.
  3. Download the Chrome extension, extract its ZIP, and load the folder using Chrome's Load unpacked option.
  4. Open extension Settings → Website account. Enter this website's HTTPS address, your email, password and activation key.
  5. Start researching. Changed records sync every minute while Chrome is running. Review results in your dashboard.
How does my activation key work?+

Each key belongs to one account and one browser installation. If you change browsers, ask your administrator to reset the installation. Reconnect using your existing key if your session expires. A revoked or expired key needs a new valid key from your administrator.

How do I set up and manage the workspace?+

Follow the bundled HOSTINGER-SETUP.md guide to configure your database privately. Open first-time setup and create the first administrator with your setup token. Then visit the admin panel to create keys, manage people, reset installations and review research.

Never share database credentials or your setup token with users. Remove the setup token after setup and keep the bundled .htaccess files when uploading.

Why is a check or website sync taking time?+

Check Website account status in the extension and retry Sync all saved research. Provider accounts, human verification and usage limits are separate from your Scout license. Complete any provider verification in its own tab. Unknown metrics stay unknown, and local research remains saved if the website connection fails.

Can I export or filter my research?+

Use status filters and search in your dashboard to find records on the loaded page. Click a metric heading to sort that page. Export this page downloads the visible records as CSV. Use the page controls to browse the rest of your saved research.

Does Scout include Ahrefs or Keywords Everywhere access?+

Your Scout account connects the extension to your research workspace. Ahrefs, Keywords Everywhere, and other providers may require separate accounts or API access. Scout does not override their verification or usage limits.

Need help with your account?

Contact your workspace administrator for activation keys, browser resets, or access issues. Never share passwords or provider API keys in public messages.
